Cattle & Sheep Young Handler's Competition
CATTLE YOUNG HANDLERS

Judging commences on Sunday at 9am in Rings 1 and 2
Entry Fee: No entry fee will be payable. Entries will be accepted in advance and also at the show.
Prizes: 1st £40 2nd £30 3rd £20 4th £10
Conditions of entry:
- Entries are restricted to young person’s leading stock which have already been entered in the relevant beef breed or Calf classes.
- Classes will be judged on the handler’s ability and experience and not the animal.
- Cattle should be suited to the age of the handler.
- Handlers must be suitably dressed for the breed they are leading (WHITE COATS MUST BE WORN)
- All ages taken on 1st day of the show.

SHEEP YOUNG HANDLERS COMPETITION
Judge: Mr A Glaves, Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Judging commences on Sunday 15 minutes after the completion of the sheep championships in the sheep ring
Entry Fee: No entry fee will be payable. Entries will be accepted in advance and also at the show up to 5pm on Saturday 18th November 2023.
Prizes for classes YHS2- YHS4: 1st £20, 2nd £15, 3rd £10, 4th £5
Conditions of entry:
1. Entries are restricted to young person’s leading stock which have already been entered in the relevant live sheep classes.
2. Classes will be judged on the handler’s ability and experience and not the animal.
3. Sheep should be suited to the age of the handler.
4. Handlers must be suitably dressed for the breed they are leading
